Big-game fishing in the Adriatic on a modern boat
- From: 1600 €
- Departure: Split
Description
Catamaran Prokat 3660 Sportfish is a boat 12.46 meters long. The boat has room for up to 6 anglers, but the trip can be arranged for fewer people, depending on your wishes. Prokat is the best-equipped vessel of its kind on the market, and it’s suitable for all types of fishing (big game, jigging…).
Our fishing trips let you participate in the following activities:
Deep sea fishing is a type of fishing usually done from the anchored boat. Bream, grouper, scorpion fish, John Dory, pinky redfish, sea bass and red porgy are our goal in this type of fishing. We use different tactics and techniques depending on the time of year. Autumn is the best season for deep sea fishing.
Drifting is the most common technique for bluefin tuna fishing in the Adriatic. In the recent years the Adriatic has become extremely rich in tuna of all sizes, which enables us to use different fishing techniques.
Popping is a fishing technique that uses popper baits. Decoys are made of wood of different weights and have a triple-hook, and our fishing rods are from 2.1m to 2.5m in length. Popping is very effective when fishing for tuna.
Trolling or fishing on the move is usually performed with 6 to 10 rods and an outrigger. The sailing speed depends on the type of fish we’re after, and the average speed is 8-9 knots. Our target are all types of pelagic fish, such as bluefin tuna, little tunny, dolphinfish etc.
Jigging is a very popular fishing technique of which there are two types: vertical and light. We usually fish at the bottom, sometimes in the middle layer of the sea, and very rarely under the boat. Target species are amberjack, snapper, bream, sea bass, grouper and blacksmith. There’s something really special about the experience of bluefin tuna fishing using a jig.
