Southern Dalmatia

Southern Dalmatia includes the area of Makarska Riviera to the border with Montenegro, including the islands of Korcula, Mljet and Lastovo and the Peljesac peninsula. The center of this destination is Dubrovnik, a city-monument under UNESCO protection and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The climate is very pleasant, Mediterranean, to grow citrus plantations, palm trees and rich agave.

There is regular ferry service from the peninsula to the island of Korcula, which is supposedly home of the famous seafarer Marco Polo.
