Jewels of Croatia and Slovenia 2026 7 days: Zagreb to Dubrovnik

Arrive at the tour hotel in Zagreb/Zagreb area, with a transfer provided from either Zagreb airport or your hotel in Zagreb. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your hotel in Zagreb/Zagreb area.

Begin your day with a morning sightseeing tour of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. You’ll explore the fortified Upper Town, the city’s historic core, featuring the iconic St. Mark’s Church with its vibrant tiled roof. The tour also includes the Cathedral, the Croatian National Theatre, and the University.

After the tour, you’ll travel to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. In the afternoon, a guided tour will take you through the city’s charming old center. You’ll see key landmarks, including the picturesque Central Open-Air Market, the famous Three Bridges, the Baroque Town Hall, and Robba’s Fountain.

Dinner and overnight accommodations will be in Ljubljana or the surrounding area.

Morning departure to Bled, a picturesque town in the Julian Alps known as one of the most beautiful alpine resorts. The scenery here is truly enchanting, with an emerald glacial lake surrounded by majestic mountains and dense forests, creating a fairy-tale-like atmosphere. You will visit Bled Castle, which holds the distinction of being the oldest in Slovenia.

After exploring Bled, we will continue our journey to the Plitvice Lakes area for dinner and an overnight stay.

Begin your morning with a serene walk around Plitvice Lakes, a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will be captivated by the natural beauty of the 16 crystal-blue lakes, which cascade into 92 breathtaking waterfalls.

Afterward, we will depart for Split. Upon arrival, a local guide will lead you on a tour of the UNESCO-protected Diocletian’s Palace and its cellars. The original Roman palace was beautifully adapted by its medieval inhabitants, transforming it into the vibrant, living heart of the city that it is today.

After breakfast, you will depart for Dubrovnik. Along the way, you’ll visit a wine cellar on the Pelješac peninsula, where you can enjoy a glass of Plavac Mali, the region’s signature red wine. You’ll have free time for lunch and sightseeing in the beautiful town of Ston.

In the afternoon, you will arrive in Dubrovnik for a city tour of this UNESCO-protected “Pearl of the Adriatic.” You’ll see the Cathedral and travel back in time to the era of the maritime Republic of Dubrovnik as you admire its noble palaces, fountains, and impressive city walls. Immerse yourself in the city’s unique atmosphere, defined by its marble streets, Baroque buildings, and the endless shimmer of the Adriatic Sea.
